The Revda OCM plant in 2020 mastered 147 new standard sizes, which amounted to 10% of the annual output of pipes and rods made of copper and alloys.
In particular, new sizes of waveguide pipes appeared in the list of products, which irreplaceable in radar and radio equipment. Industrial lots of thick-walled bronze and copper pipes, as well as rods with a diameter of more than 160 mm, which are used in heavy engineering and the production of bearings, have been shipped. The output of products for Russian shipbuilding enterprises has been increased due to the development of new standard sizes of pipes made of copper-nickel alloys. Today the Revda OCM Plant is a manufacturer recognized by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. A new copper-iron alloy for CuFreez pipes was mastered. These are pipes for industrial refrigerators operating on environmentally friendly CO₂. The pressure in such systems can reach 130 bar, which is comparable to the pressure of a 1300-meter water column.
- The achievement of such indicators became possible thanks to the implementation of the first stage of the technical re-equipment program: commissioning of new equipment, modernization in structures and the size of the tool, the development of new technological schemes, the manufacture of high-quality technological equipment, as well as the development of production modes, - comments the head of the technical department of the Revda OCM plant Evgeny Lobov.
