Kirovsky OTsM plant started production of 1000 mm wide belts

KZOTsM (part of UMMC-OCM, which unites the assets of UMMC for the processing of non-ferrous metals) expanded the range of products and began producing tapes from copper alloys with a width of 1000 mm. The first batch has already been shipped to the consumer. Until now, Russian enterprises have imported similar rolled products from abroad. With the successful release of these products, we can talk about the completion of the modernization of the rolling and procurement facilities of KZOTsM, which took place at the enterprise since 2013, and the investment amounted to about 2 billion rubles. Today KZOTsM is equipped with modern high-performance equipment: cold rolling mill "Quarto-450" Daieli Group (Germany), roll milling line MINO (Italy), slitting line Salico (Italy) and others. Rolled steel of greater width is in demand in the electrical and construction industries which place increased demands on the mechanical properties of materials and the appearance of rolled products. Achievement of high indicators of product quality became possible thanks to the installation of new equipment and technical re-equipment of the existing one along the entire technological chain of production: from casting ingots to annealing of finished coils. Today KZOTsM is ready to accept orders for the production of strips of any grade of copper in the thickness range from 0.6 to 4. 0 mm and a width of 1000 mm in accordance with Russian and foreign standards.
