Managing Director of the Bratsk Ferroalloy Plant (part of the Mechel Group) Sergey Sokolov took part in a meeting of the Government of the Irkutsk Region on the elimination of the consequences of the flood in the region. The meeting was chaired by Georgy Kalamanov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

The meeting was attended by directors of large enterprises of the Irkutsk region. Sergei Sokolov noted that the enterprise allocated equipment and people to the Nizhneudinsky district to eliminate the consequences of the natural disaster. Employees of the company's Uvat mine dumped about 500 meters of destroyed public roads. The depth of the sinkholes reached several meters. About 600 cubic meters of crushed stone, soil, quartzite screening were allocated for repair work. Several city streets were cleared of garbage congestion caused by the flood.

"We are ready to provide comprehensive assistance to the territories caught in the flood zone, including the willingness to employ people who have lost their jobs due to the natural disaster." , - said the managing director of OOO BZF Sergey Sokolov.
