The economic effect from the implementation of measures to reduce the consumption of energy resources in the subdivisions of the plant and the companies of the PJSC MMK Group on an annualized basis amounted to about 6.7 million rubles. In particular, in three months of 2021, it was possible to reduce electricity consumption in annual terms by more than 740 thousand kWh, thereby saving 2.86 million rubles. Among the main activities in this direction are the replacement of incandescent lamps with LED lamps, modernization of lighting systems, decommissioning and replacement of energy-intensive equipment, etc. In addition, the implementation of the energy saving program made it possible to save in annual terms 826 tons of standard fuel in the amount of about 3 million rubles, 665 Gcal of thermal energy, 130 thousand cubic meters of compressed air and air separation products. Saving of industrial water amounted to almost 640 thousand cubic meters.
As noted by the General Director of PJSC MMK Pavel Shilyaev, saving energy resources not only gives a significant economic effect, but also has great environmental value due to a decrease in the man-made load on the environment: “By increasing energy efficiency and modernizing production facilities we intend to radically reduce emissions of pollutants, increasing the efficiency of our energy policy and demonstrating the company's commitment to ESG principles. ”
