White, red and blue retro cars were built in the form of an image of the Russian tricolor on the open area of the UMMC Museum Complex. The artistic composition was composed of a dozen "Muscovites", "Zhiguli" and "Volga". Their owners are participants in the traditional exhibition of retro machines from the Yekaterinburg club Avtoretro. This year they held their rally not in Yekaterinburg, but in Verkhnyaya Pyshma. More than 70 cars, motorcycles and scooters have gathered in the open area today. The exhibition was dedicated to the Day of Russia.
Participants of the exhibition competed in competitions for the best restoration, the best safety and the rarest car or motorcycle. The most virtuoso drivers took part in the figure driving competition of retro cars. Races on pedal cars made in the USSR were organized for children. Musical accompaniment was provided by the musicians of the Sverdlovsk Retro Band, which consisted of the Avtoretro club members. Everything took place on the square in front of the four-storey UMMC automobile technology museum. A centenary Ford T, better known by the nickname "Tin Lizzie", an ambulance car from the Soviet era and two microcars were rolled out of its exposition for the festive exhibition. The partnership project of the club and the museum can develop into a long-term relationship.
“The experience is positive. Many guests came to the exhibition. I see cars from the 70s here. Everything is original: motors, wires ... There is no foreign paint droplets - everything is natural. This is impressive, of course. It's great that there are people who preserve and cherish the history of the automotive industry. I think that we will continue our relationship with the Avtoretro club, ”says Victor Sevostyanov, director of the UMMC Museum Complex.
A large number of motor vehicles were presented at the exhibition. Participants demonstrated post-war scooters and motorbikes with a motor. Also, viewers could see an interesting collection of motorcycles produced by the Irbit Motorcycle Plant, which turns 80 this year.
The parachutists of the DOSAAF club congratulated the guests and participants of the exhibition on the holiday. They landed directly on the exhibition area with the flags of Russia and the Sverdlovsk region.
