"Holding Cable Alliance" increased copper processing by 15%

Plants of the Cable Alliance Holding (which unites the cable assets of UMMC) have summed up the results of their work in the first half of 2019. The main indicator - the volume of copper processing - increased by 15% compared to the same period last year and exceeded 22.5 thousand tons.

“Copper is the main raw material for the Cable Alliance Holding. The demand for cables with copper conductors, including high-tech ones, is traditionally high. In some periods, it increases sharply. We, as a customer-oriented company, promptly respond to consumer requests, "said Alexey Saushkin, Technical Director of Cable Alliance Holding.

The Kolchuginsky plant Elektrokabel processed the largest volume of copper - over 10.1 thousand tons (plus 23 %). Aluminum processed 818 tons. Tomsk Sibkabel increased copper processing by 14% - up to 8.5 thousand tons, for aluminum this figure was 980 tons. Uralkabel processed about 3.9 thousand tons of copper in six months (an increase of 1.4%) and about 177 tons of aluminum.

If we evaluate the half-year in terms of production volumes of cable and wire products, then at the Kolchuginsky The plant noted a twofold growth in the group of installation cables, primarily cables of the NIKI trademark.

“We note the annual growth in demand for these products,” said Vladimir Ivanov, director of EKZ JSC. - NIKI cables are in demand in the petrochemical industry, metallurgy and mechanical engineering. In 2018, we significantly increased the production capacity of the enterprise for the manufacture of installation cables, by purchasing new stranding lines and braiding machines. ”

At Sibkabel, the most significant increase in production was noted in the group of power wires for electrical installations - in 3.6 times. About 700 kilometers out of 1.4 thousand kilometers "went" to Mongolia.

The largest share in the production volume of the Yekaterinburg plant "Uralkabel" is occupied by auto pipelines, of which about 64.4 thousand kilometers were produced from January to June ... This is 10% more than in the same period last year.
