Gaysky GOK will be the first in Russia to test a new domestic drilling rig

Gay (Orenburg Region)

At PJSC "Gaysky GOK" (an enterprise of the raw materials complex of UMMC), tests of the DF-B1 heading rig manufactured at the Yekaterinburg enterprise "Machine-Building Holding" have started. Drivers will test the machine in the mine for six months, after which they will assess its efficiency and reliability.

- Now our specialists, under the supervision of MashHolding service engineers, are studying the capabilities of the new drilling rig. We can say that the first tests show good results, - said the head of the underground mine of the Gaysky GOK Sergey Aliev. - Despite its power, it is easy to operate. A computer screen protected from mechanical damage is installed on the dashboard, which reflects the parameters of the machine. The operator can monitor the status of all mechanisms in real time.

MashHolding annually supplies about 15-20 drilling rigs to Gaysky GOK. The Ural manufacturer has released a tunneling machine for work in mines for the first time. The new DF-B1 electro-hydraulic drilling rig is designed for excavation of roadways and tunnels. It is equipped with a robust rock drill boom that can rotate at up to 250 rpm. When developing the machine, the needs of the miners were taken into account.

- Engineers of MashHolding got acquainted with the peculiarities of the operation of drilling equipment in the underground mine of our plant, made the appropriate measurements, and made calculations. And here's the result. Let's hope that the pilot tests will end successfully, and the Russian self-propelled drilling rigs, which are not inferior to world analogues, will work at our plant, - noted the director of the Gaysky GOK Gennady Stavsky.

In general, in 2019, the total volume the financing of Gaysky GOK for the purchase of mining equipment under the plans for the replacement and modernization of worn-out equipment that is not included in the estimate of construction projects will amount to more than 2.3 billion rubles. Since the beginning of the year, the plant has received more than 15 units of self-propelled mining equipment, in particular, two new drilling rigs and a LK-1M LHD (Poland). Two Boomer S1D drilling rigs (Sweden) were put into operation at the underground mine. The open mine received eight 55-ton BelAZ trucks and a loader from the American company CATERPILLAR. In addition, for the first time, GGOK acquired a Sadvik DS311 self-propelled drilling rig for anchoring (Finland).
