Severstal will support the tour of the Leonid Yakobson St. Petersburg Ballet Theater in Petrozavodsk and Kostomuksha as part of the Golden Mask Festival. Organizational support is provided by Karelsky Okatysh JSC (part of PJSC Severstal), the leading iron ore mining and processing plant in Russia.
On October 7, the evening of the ballet "Choreographic Masterpieces of Leonid Yakobson" will be presented at the Musical Theater in the capital of Karelia , and on October 9 - at the stage of the Druzhba cultural and sports center in Kostomuksha.
The program introduces the viewer to the rich choreographic heritage of the founder of the theater and includes fragments from the series of miniatures Rodin, Classicism-Romanticism and Genre sketches ". All miniatures have been carefully restored by teachers who have a unique experience of working with Leonid Yakobson himself, and therefore today can convey his author's choreography as close to the original as possible. An important element of the program will be the one-act ballet The Wedding Cortege, inspired by the work of Marc Chagall.
Leonid Yakobson under the direction of Honored Artist of Russia Andrian Fadeev is a unique art group, a pearl not only of St. Petersburg and Russia, but of the entire world cultural space. The theater is a laureate of the Russian National Theater Prize "Golden Mask".
"Thanks to many years of cooperation “Severstal” and “Golden Mask” and the guests of Karelia will once again be able to enjoy the work of one of the best theater groups in the country. The pandemic is making its own adjustments, so the ballet evening will be held with incomplete seating in compliance with all security measures.
