Transparent stretch film is widely demanded in various areas. It is more actively used in packaging of goods, in gardening and construction. Polyethylene has certain physical characteristics, is durable, sufficiently elastic. Different types of polyethylene are distinguished depending on the form of manufacture.
Production of packaging material
Thin polyethylene material. The polymer is obtained from granules and other substances by forcing fused raw materials through holes of a certain shape.
The demand for plastic film speaks of its positive qualities:
- does not deform under the influence of chemistry;
- due to inertness it is used in public catering;
- elastic, stretchable, with its help it is easy to pack any items;
- resistant to evaporation, moisture, serves as a good waterproofing;
- prevents air ingress;
- due to transparency the packed goods are clearly visible;
- has certain dielectric characteristics;
- long service life.
Among the disadvantages are: intolerance to high temperatures over 110 degrees, loss of properties (elasticity, strength) under the influence of direct sunlight. At temperatures less than 10 degrees - fragility.
Polyethylene prints well. Thanks to this, it is used in the manufacture of decorative materials.
Film types according to the form of production
Produced in large quantities. The shape can be different: half-arm, sleeve, plain canvas, cut, tube. It all depends on the area of application. PE was originally presented in the form of a tube or sleeve.
If necessary, cut it on one side - a half-sleeve is obtained. With the second cut - the canvas. On sale PE is presented in rolls. The original price is calculated not by meters, but by kilograms.
For packing large items, arranging the roof, half-arms are used. If the PE is used in small pieces and is unwound entirely by hand, it is best to purchase a sleeve. Cloths are needed for agricultural work.
Polyethylene is widely used due to its versatility. Each house has a film for packaging various products. It is also necessary for repairs to protect things and furniture from contamination. At the dacha, the film is used to equip greenhouses, greenhouses, and cover the ground. Versatility, practicality allows the use of PE in different areas.
