In November 2022, the European Union's new passenger car market grew by more than 16% to 839,527 units, marking the fourth consecutive significant rise this year, Ukrautoprom reports, citing data from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA).
Most markets in the region contributed positively to this overall growth, including the top four: Germany (+31.4%), Italy (+14.7%), Spain (+10.3%) and France (+9 .8%) .However, according to ACEA, volumes last month remained well below the level of pre-pandemic November 2019, when 1 million cars were registered.

For eleven months of 2022, the number of registrations of new passenger cars in the EU was 6.1% less compared to the same period last year and amounted to 8,359,317 units.
At the end of this period, all the main EU markets suffered losses . The largest drop was recorded in Italy (-11.6%), followed by France (-8.7%), Spain (-4.4%) and Germany (-2.4%).
The leadership in the EU market falls on the VW Group, which sold 2,098,486 cars from January to November, while the fall was 7.2% compared to last year's figure. In second place is STELLANTIS with 1,674,373 cars sold, which is 14.7% less than last year. Also in the top three Renault Group - 876,305 cars (-5%).
