In Germany, there has been a steady growth of new registrations, while Italy and France offset by serious losses incurred by the market in the beginning of the year.

In October 2019, the market of passenger cars in the EU increased by 8.7% and amounted to 1 177 746 units. This is the highest growth rate in the entire history of observations since 2009. Germany has regained the first place among the countries with the number of registrations of new cars, increasing to 284 593 cars.

In second place is France, where in October there were 188 987 new cars.

In second place PSA Group with a score of 178 475 sold vehicles, which is 5.1% lower than a year ago.

And the third result in the RENAULT Group - 119275 pieces (growth of 13.2%).

Total for the period from January to October the number of newly registered cars decreased by 0.7% compared with the first 10 months of 2018.

Although demand in the EU increased in September and October, Germany (+ 3.4 percent) remained the only major European market which showed growth in 2019. Spain (-6,3%) and the UK (-2.9 percent), in contrast, noted a strong decline in 10 months of the year, while the Italian (-0.8%) and French (-0,3%) markets almost recovered to the volumes in 2018.
