According to data compiled by SteelRadar by the European Commission, while most countries were cautious in using their quotas in general, China, India and Turkey performed strongly in individual categories.

During the reporting period, China fully utilized its quotas. The quota is 129,758 tons for 4B grade metal-coated sheets, 4,974 tons for stainless hot-rolled sheet blanks and 8,169 tons for other welded pipes. India has also fully utilized its quotas of 79,534 tons for organic-coated rolled products, 32,114 tons for stainless rolled products and light profiles, and 5,950 tons for seamless stainless pipes.

Although many countries are still cautious about exporting, despite the fact that quotas have already expired by half, Turkey has maintained its position as the leading steel exporter in the EU, making full use of quotas for five different commodity groups. Turkey has fully utilized its quotas of 99,231 tons for wire rod, 84,956 tons for hollow profiles, 15,110 tons for large-size welded pipes, 95,531 tons for rebar and 15,905 tons for organic coated sheets.

The data shows that China and India maintain strong positions in some steel product groups in Turkey. the EU market, while Turkey is effectively using its logistical advantages.
