ArcelorMittal, the leading European steel producer, has increased its offer prices for flat rolled products across Europe by 20 euros ($23) per tonne for December delivery and by another 20 euros per tonne for January delivery compared with December prices, Fastmarkets reported on Monday, October 13.
On Monday, ArcelorMittal announced a price increase of 20 euros per tonne of hot-rolled roll for December delivery, with new offers priced at 630 euros ($730) per tonne from the factory or with delivery, depending on the region, compared to 610 euros per tonne from the factory. or delivered in October/November, multiple sources told Fastmarkets.
The offer prices for a hot-dip galvanized roll with delivery in December were set at 730 euros per ton from the factory or with delivery.
And for the January delivery of HRC, the company hoped to receive 650 euros per ton from the factory or with delivery. For HDG delivered in January, the target offer was confirmed at 750 euros per ton from the factory or with delivery.
No new offers have been received yet, but market sources noted that sentiment among other suppliers is becoming more optimistic following the announcement of the new trading regime last week.
