Waterford Capital Partners has acquired the former Duferco Danish Steel mill in Frederikswerk and has now put the entire complex up for sale or for dismantling and subsequent relocation.
The company includes a hot rolling mill for long products with a capacity of 300,000 tons per year, built by Moeller & Neumann, as well as two light steel cold drawing lines, according to Kallanish.
The sale package includes 14 overhead cranes, a service center, a laboratory, a maintenance workshop, about 1,000 spheroidal graphite cast iron rolls and an appropriate supply of spare parts.
The company produces hot-rolled long products with a width of 25 to 160 mm, round products with a diameter of 16 to 70 mm, square blanks with a size of 16 to 50 mm, corners of 30-80 mm and other products.
Two lines of cold-drawn light steel produce flat blanks ranging in size from 20 x 4 mm to 150 x 30 mm, as well as round and square blanks ranging in size from 20 to 50 mm with the possibility of producing a hexagonal profile.
The estimated cost stated by Waterford is 12.5 million euros for the entire plant.
The company emphasizes that the facility is offered as an operational production facility. According to Waterford, Danieli continues to modernize it. At the same time, a tender was announced for the dismantling and transfer of equipment. The buyer will receive the plant after completion of the work and will have to cooperate with one of the recommended dismantling companies.
