Tosyali Toyo, a Turkish roll-rolling company, a subsidiary of Tosyali Holding, has halted production on one of the rolling lines at its Osmaniye plant after a fire broke out on Sunday.

Tosyali Toyo declined to comment. The fire occurred, but it was managed to be localized at Toyo facilities, a source in the Osmaniye organized industrial zone said.

According to one of the sources in the market, production on the affected line will be stopped for about three months.

According to the company's website, the Osmaniye plant has a rolling capacity of 1 million tons and produces tin cans, galvanized sheets, painted sheets, cold-rolled sheets and etched rolls.

Market participants added that Toyo may try to compensate for any disruptions by using a production line owned by another Turkish carrier.

This week, the supply of cold-rolled coils in the Turkish market increased by about $10 per ton to $680-700 per ton free-of-charge.
