Participants of the Stainless Steel World Conference and Exhibition 2025, which will take place this week, are invited to discuss the latest steel price trends with members of the European Parliament's research group.
Michele Kirton, Head of Research at the European Parliament, will join steel market analysts Brian Hall and Dan Bennett at the annual event, which will take place in November at the Maastricht Exhibition and Conference Center on 18-20.
Three colleagues will share their vision of the steel market with the visitors. They will also seek to establish new relationships with market participants who can contribute to MEPs' research, which prioritizes feedback from trusted market participants to provide accurate steel prices and market commentary.

"My team and I are looking forward to attending this year's world stainless steel event in Maastricht. It's always a great opportunity to meet personally with clients and research partners, both old and new," said Kirton, whose expertise focuses on the monthly publication MEPS Stainless Steel Review.
" This event brings together the stainless community for three days of friendly and productive discussions. Given such important topics as CBAM and EU proposals to replace import safeguards, as well as possible "melting and bottling" regulations that need to be considered, we certainly have something to discuss this year."
In 2025, the World of stainless steel exhibition takes place during a period of increased uncertainty in the European steel market, which puts downward pressure on prices. Data from the European Parliament shows that in the second half of this year, prices for 304 cold-rolled steel in Europe reached their lowest level since November 2020.
