The EU will begin registering certain imports of cold-rolled flat products from India, Japan, Taiwan, Turkey and Vietnam as part of an ongoing anti-dumping investigation.
The registration takes effect on December 4 and will remain in effect until the investigation is completed. This will allow the bloc to impose duties retroactively if an investigation confirms the fact of dumping in the EU.
The European Commission launched an investigation in September, and preliminary duties are expected within seven months, as previously reported[url=https://direct.argusmedia.com/newsandanalysis/article/2733210]. The investigation will assess the period from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
