The Russian government has updated the list of strategic minerals and mineral raw materials from 1996, including, in particular, phosphates, helium, rare and rare earth metals, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reports.
“The Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, together with the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Ministry of Defense of Russia, the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the Ministry of Finance of Russia, the Federal Reserve Agency, the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, ensure the preparation and submission to the government of the Russian Federation of a proposal to update the list approved by this order, at least than once every three years,” the message says.
The updated list includes helium, phosphates, zinc, rare and rare earth metals (yttrium, lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, lutetium), potassium salts, groundwater, graphite, fluorspar.
Also on the list are oil, natural gas, uranium, manganese, chromium, titanium, bauxite, copper, lead, antimony, tin, nickel, molybdenum, tungsten, cobalt, rare (lithium, rubidium, cesium, beryllium, scandium, etc.) .), gold, silver, platinoids (ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, osmium, iridium, platinum), diamonds, extra pure quartz raw materials.
