Moscow allowed the supply of bitumen from the Russian Federation to Ukraine

On October 8, 2020, by a decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, the export of petroleum bitumen and bitumen mixtures from the Russian Federation to the territory of Ukraine is allowed. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Economy of the Russian Federation.

The ban on the supply of bitumen to Ukraine was in effect from June 1, 2019. Currently, the supply of bitumen from the Russian Federation to the territory of Ukraine will be carried out on the basis of permits issued by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.

The development of export of bitumen materials from Russian producers towards Ukraine will ensure more efficient utilization of the production capacities of Russian producers.

Permits for the export of bituminous materials to the territory of Ukraine will be provided by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, taking into account the needs of the domestic market of the Russian Federation in order to eliminate the shortage of bituminous materials.
