In January-July this year, metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine reduced revenues from the export of ferrous metals by 2.16 times compared to the same period last year - to $3.49 billion from $7.54 billion.
According to statistics released by the State Customs Service (SCS), ferrous metals accounted for 13.61% of total merchandise export earnings over this period against 21.23% in January-July 2021.
In July, proceeds to Ukraine from the export of ferrous metals amounted to 266.620 million dollars.
As reported, in 2021 Ukraine increased its foreign exchange earnings from the export of ferrous metals by 81.4% compared to 2020, to $13.95 billion. Ferrous metals accounted for 20.49% of total merchandise export earnings over this period, compared to 15.63% in 2020.
