Kolchuginsky Elektrokabel (part of the Cable Alliance Holding, which unites the cable assets of UMMC) purchased two rewinding lines for the shop for the production of communication and control cables.
New equipment with a total value of more than 5 million rubles is intended for unwinding cable products to a certain length specified by the customer. In addition, on rewinding machines, digital marking is applied to the insulated conductors of control cables.
“The speed of the new lines is about 400 meters of cable per minute. Digital marking is applied to each insulated core with special ink using a continuous ink jet printer included in the rewinding machine. The marking must be clear and durable, as evidenced by special tests. After that, the cores are twisted together and placed under a common sheath, "said Aleksey Van-Ding-Shin, head of the technological bureau of workshop No. 4 of EKZ JSC.
The control cable with numbered cores is easier to install later. Their number in this product can be up to 100, and they are all the same color. The marking makes it possible to identify each core even if a minimum of the cable sheath is cut when connecting the equipment to the generation source. The connection of the marked cores is easier to check and restore in the event of a break.
It is worth noting that control cables occupy a special place in the product line of Cable Alliance Holding. This type of product is produced under the NIKI trademark - in honor of the Research Cable Institute, the only one of its kind beyond the Urals. Control cables transmit a signal from one device to another, launching a particular process.
“Expansion of the rewinding machines park, coupled with the installation of new stranding lines and braiding machines, will allow to increase the production of NIKI control cables by the end of 2019 and control cables by 15-20%, ”said Dmitry Tsarkov, Deputy Director for Production of EKZ JSC.
