The Zaporizhstal plant of Metinvest Group has successfully completed the process of expanding the scope of the certificate for compliance of hot-rolled steel with the requirements of the EN 10025-1 standard for steel grades S235-275 J0-J2 and S355 J0-J2.
On " Zaporizhstal began production of in-demand metal products, which, before the full-scale invasion, were produced at the metallurgical plant named after. Ilyich in Mariupol. For this purpose, the enterprise underwent an inspection of the production process and an analysis of technological capabilities, and as a result received a certificate of conformity of the production control system from the international certification body Dedal.
“Despite a full-scale war, difficult times of crisis in the domestic mining and metallurgical complex, Zaporizhstal continues to work to expand its product range and enter new markets. The certificate of conformity of the production control system will allow us to move into a new segment for Zaporizhstal - the production of more appropriate structural pipes, as well as parts for mechanical engineering and containers. Today, it is flexibility and prompt response to customer requests that allow an enterprise with a 90-year history to operate, retain its team and support the economy of Ukraine,” noted Roman Slobodyanyuk, General Director of Zaporizhstal.
Test deliveries of these products have already been sent to several Polish customers, the first feedback on pipe cutting and production was received, and control tests were carried out. By continuing to work in this direction, Zaporizhstal will be able to improve production results, achieve additional production volumes and sales of hot-rolled steel, which complies with the European standard EN 10025-1:2004 for structural steel grades S235-275 J0-J2 and S355. J2 in thicknesses 1.8–8 mm. The rolled products fully comply with the requirements of the European Union directives regarding rolled products used in civil or industrial construction.
