The Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) co-organized the XXVI The International Scientific and Practical conference "Pipes-2025", which takes place at the site of the Volga Pipe Plant (VTZ), part of TMK. The Volgograd Region is hosting the event for the first time, which was previously held in Chelyabinsk.
The conference is attended by more than 200 representatives of the pipe industry, including employees of research centers, developers, manufacturers and customers of pipe products. The conference is held under the slogan "Course — development" and is devoted to the analysis of the current state and current problems of the global and Russian pipe industry. The participants will also discuss business adaptation to global market challenges, the course and impact of digital transformation, and other relevant topics.
Within the framework of the event, thematic sections were organized "Innovative technologies and equipment for the production of tubular steel, billets, rolled and rolled products", "Innovative technologies and equipment for the production and application of tubular products", "Digital technologies in metallurgy and the pipe industry" and "Metallurgy and steel production technology". A youth section "Young scientists and specialists in Ferrous Metallurgy" will be held at the site of the VTZ partner university, Volgograd State Technical University (VolgSTU). A meeting of the Technical Committee TC 357/MTK 7 "Steel and cast iron pipes and cylinders" will also take place within the framework of the conference.
"Over the years, the Pipes conference has become the main platform for the exchange of experience among industry representatives. By bringing together experts, developers, manufacturers and consumers of pipe products, we open up opportunities for industrial cooperation, the introduction of advanced technologies and increasing the competitiveness of products. Joint work within the framework of the conference will set the vector of sustainable development and formulate responses to global industry challenges," said Igor Pyshmintsev, Chairman of the conference organizing Committee and Director of Scientific Work at TMK.
The Pipes International Scientific and Practical Conference is an annual industry event for scientists, consumers and manufacturers of pipe products. This year's conference is dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the VTZ, as well as the 140th anniversary of the invention of the Mannesmann brothers - the process of transverse screw rolling. Traditionally, the conference is organized by the Russian Scientific Research Institute of the Pipe Industry (RusNITI), located in Chelyabinsk and part of the TMK research cluster.
