From the present to the future of mining: results of the V interactive session "New Times – New Heroes"
On October 9, the V interactive session "New Times – New Heroes", an author's project of the Timchenko Marketing industrial agency, took place within the framework of the MINEX Russia Mining Forum.
The session brought together representatives of mining companies, manufacturers and suppliers of machinery and innovative solutions, as well as purchasers and counterparty management experts. The modernization of business processes and the introduction of modern technologies to increase production efficiency and safety have become the focus of the agenda.
Vladislav Demidov, Director of Commercial Activities at Rosgeo JSC, spoke about the prospects for the development of Russia's mineral resource base, taking into account the federal project "Geology. The rebirth of a legend." Thus, the share of reserves of rare earth metals in Russia alone is 17% of the global total. However, for raw material independence, it is necessary to restore full cycles of technological production chains. Exploration of new deposits in Siberia and the Far East remains a challenge. Thus, according to the federal program, by 2030, the subsoil of the Far Eastern Federal District should be explored by 65%. It is also important to expand the range of promising mineral resources in terms of extraction. Today, about 80% of exploration is focused on finding gold, while companies willing to invest in the extraction of other strategically important elements need support.
The work of an industrial enterprise is impossible without a well-established procurement system. Sergey Makoveev, Public Ombudsman for Public Procurement under the Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights in Moscow and General Director of the Valuable Contract Competitive Procurement Agency outlined the subtleties of bidding and effective strategies for obtaining a contract, and also named the most common difficulties of bidders and ways to overcome them.
Another component of the effective operation of the enterprise is service support. The PIR Group of Companies, the general partner of the session, presented the organization structure of the PIR Service team. The company accompanies the customer from the purchase and delivery of large-capacity SANY Heavy Equipment dump trucks with lifting capacities of 150 and 220 tons to the completion of the equipment operation. The service contract includes the assistance of field teams, the exchange of old engines for refurbished ones, scheduled inspections of equipment and timely troubleshooting, tire installation. The average technical readiness coefficient reaches 93%, and the introduction of detailed monitoring reduces fuel costs by 23%.
