PAO Severstal, one of the world's largest vertically integrated
steel and mining companies, invested in 2019 to 1
billion in the modernisation of the Izhora pipe plant (ITZ, included in the division
"Severstal Russian steel") for the production of electric-welded pipes with a diameter of
from 508 mm.
At the Izhora pipe plant, the main specialization of which is the
production of large diameter pipes from strips of Cherepovets steel
plant (is included in division "Severstal Russian steel"), ended
modernization of technological equipment, including hand press,
Assembly-welding mill, a mill's internal welding, hydraulic press, complete
the reconstructed lines of the outer and inner surfaces.
"Severstal" implemented the modernization of equipment ITZ with the aim of providing
the technical possibility of production of pipes for furnishing the Yuzhno-Kirinskoye
field. Additionally, electric-welded pipes with diameters from 508 mm have a

and oil pipelines, industrial and technological pipelines, as well as designs
for various purposes.
