The Board of Directors of the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) appointed Alexander Georgievich Shiryaev as the company's CEO.
Sergey Chikalov, who has held the position of TMK CEO since June 2023, is leaving his post and remains working at the company, focusing on other projects.
Alexander Shiryaev was born in 1952. He has extensive experience working at large metallurgical and machine-building enterprises in the country, including in senior positions. Since 2003, he has been working at TMK, where he served as the company's CEO from 2008 to 2019. He has been awarded a number of departmental and state awards, and holds the title of "Honorary Metallurgist".
During the years of Alexander Shiryaev's work as CEO, the company has become an international and one of the world's largest manufacturers of steel pipes. Under his leadership, a large-scale program of technical re-equipment of enterprises was implemented, an advanced research base was created and unique competencies were accumulated that allowed TMK to become a leader in the industry.
