TMK presents Professionalitet project to 1,500 prospective students

Enterprises of Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) held career guidance events for prospective applicants to the federal Professionalitet project. As part of the Unified Open Day, more than 1,500 high school students and their parents visited TMK partner vocational colleges.

The events took place in the Volga region, the Urals and southern Russia, as well as in the Orenburg and Chelyabinsk regions. TMK representatives organized introductory meetings for students, presented educational programs, and held interactive games, hands-on career activities and master classes using training simulators designed to closely replicate real production equipment, including with the use of VR technologies.

The Unified Open Day also included tours of production facilities, and in Kamensk-Uralsky, visitors also saw Russia’s only tube exhibition. Participants were shown modern equipment and learned about the history of the enterprises, career development opportunities and social benefits for young specialists.

“TMK has been involved in the Professionalitet project since its launch. This model enables us to build an effective workforce training system that meets the company’s current needs. Holding a unified open day in cooperation with technical colleges is an important step toward strengthening the link between education and industry. It gives prospective students an understanding of career opportunities at the company, while allowing us to attract talented young people. TMK’s joint work with educational institutions as part of the Unified Open Day helps shape the future of the industry and ensure that our enterprises have qualified specialists,” said Elena Pozolotina, TMK Deputy CEO for Human Resources.

The federal Professionalitet project has been running since 2022. Its goal is to comprehensively transform the vocational education system and widely adopt an industry-based model for training workers in in-demand occupations. TMK’s key enterprises are among the project’s partners, and its implementation is overseen by TMK’s corporate university, TMK2U.
