Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) took part in the PROM-ENERGO-VOLGA 2026 Interregional Industrial and Energy Forum and specialized exhibition in Volgograd.
Visitors to the company’s stand were shown samples of pipes manufactured by Volzhsky Pipe Plant (VTZ), including premium-class threaded connections from the TMK UP family. These connections were developed by TMK specialists and are used on casing and tubing. Thanks to innovative materials and engineering solutions, they enable pipe strings to maintain their integrity during hydrocarbon production in challenging geological and climatic conditions, including when drilling extended horizontal wells.
As part of the forum, TMK also held a roundtable discussion titled “High-Tech Metallurgy as a Driver of Regional Economic Development.” More than 40 representatives of industrial enterprises, government bodies, and research and educational organizations took part. Participants discussed prospects for industrial cooperation, the development of the region’s production capabilities, and collaboration between businesses and the research and education community.
“The competitiveness of industrial companies largely depends on the ability of businesses, academia and the government to join forces to address shared challenges. Platforms such as the PROM-ENERGO-VOLGA forum help identify promising areas for cooperation and lay the foundation for the long-term technological development of Volgograd Region. It is important for TMK to take part in this dialogue, share its engineering expertise and work with partners to find solutions that meet the industry’s current needs,” said Sergei Chetverikov, TMK Vice President.
The PROM-ENERGO-VOLGA Interregional Industrial and Energy Forum and specialized exhibition of enterprises was held for the 26th time. This year, it brought together representatives of more than 100 enterprises and organizations from 20 Russian regions. The business program featured 200 speakers, and more than 8,000 specialists attended the event. TMK was the exhibition’s strategic partner.
