Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) took part in a career fair for students of the Ural Advanced Engineering School (UAES) at Ural Federal University (UrFU). The event was held as part of Engineer’s Day celebrations and brought together leading employers from Sverdlovsk Region.
Representatives of TMK2U Corporate University and Sinarsky Pipe Plant told students about the company’s operations, in-demand engineering specialties, social benefits and professional development programs for young specialists.
Thanks to the partnership between TMK and UrFU, UAES students can undertake practical training and internships at the company’s facilities, learn about modern industrial production and apply the knowledge gained at university in practice.
"Working with future engineers is an important part of TMK’s personnel strategy. We engage with students in the early stages of their education, as this is when interest in the profession and motivation for further professional development take shape. Comprehensive career guidance helps connect theoretical training with real-world production tasks and gives young specialists the opportunity to make an informed choice about where to work," said Elena Pozolotina, TMK Deputy CEO for Human Resources and Director of TMK2U Corporate University.
Cooperation between TMK and UrFU, including through UAES, is systematic. Since 2024, the company has awarded corporate scholarships to students at the Institute of New Materials and Technologies (INMT). University students also undertake practical training at the company’s facilities and take part in innovation and professional skills competitions. TMK2U Corporate University regularly supports job fairs, hackathons and the “Career Time” project, recruits candidates for the “Metallurgical Enterprise Management” master’s program, and serves as a partner of the “I Am a Professional” student olympiad.
