the company LLP "Nova Zinc" (subsidiary of JSC "Chelyabinsk branch" metallurgical complex of UMMC Ekaterinburg, Kazakhstan) launched a project to improve operational efficiency. The main objectives are to increase the rate of ore extraction by underground mining, improving processing concentrator and the acceleration of the construction time of new horizons on the Eastern and Central areas.
"For the first month of the project transformation has achieved certain results: for example, production from the underground mine increased by 40% from baseline – c 833 tons to 1 167 tons per day, – said General Director of LLP "NOVA Zinc" Suindyk Asanas. – Processing at the factory is steadily growing (now it is 4057 tons per day in the base period – 3 465 tons per day). Such growth has been achieved due to the commissioning of all available mills factory, speed up the process of cleaning drilling in the mine, and improve the processing mills from 58 to 63 ton/hour."
