Taganrog metallurgical works (TAGMET), part of the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK), won the national contest of the best practices of mentoring in the workplace. The winners were announced in the framework of the V all-Russian forum "the national qualifications framework of Russia."


the Competition is held for the second time a basic centre of professional training, retraining and advanced training of personnel, which functions are performed by ANO "National Agency of development of qualifications". 135 companies from 40 regions of the country presented their practices. They were evaluated in terms of relevance, effectiveness, potential for replication and feasibility.


TAGMET presented practice of "mentoring resources". The project demonstrates a holistic mentoring system for all categories of staff through targeted tools, methods, individual approaches to each of these categories. As the role of the mentor is key, the process of development aimed not only to new employee but also for the mentor.


mentoring on the Tagmet is part of the General programme on adaptation of employees in production units in which the functions of the mentor perform 650 employees. The plant provides them with targeted training, including training under the program "Effective mentor". The purpose of the mentor for the shortest time to enter the profession of a new employee, confirming his willingness to be effective.
