In the Day of Russian science, 8 February, fifty adults and thirty children voluntarily tested how their view of the world correlates with its real device. They became participants in the largest one-day popular scientific actions in the world. Along with more than a million people in thirty countries of the planet verhnepyshminsky answered the questions of the "Open laboratory" ("the Elbe-2020"), which specially for this day made up of leading Russian scientists – biologist Elena kleschenko, geophysicist Alexander Kostinsky, astrophysicist Sergey Popov, bioinformatic Mikhail Gelfand and many others. But the protesters showed genuine interest in new knowledge, their curiosity, thirst for understanding of the meaning and results of the work of scientists left the most pleasant impression. Note that in adults, the greatest difficulty has caused problems in genetics from Michael Gelfand. One of the correct answers, for example, was: "We don't know the answer." (The question was about what more the human genes or proteins). In pediatric laboratory the greatest difficulties arose in response to the question of what first aid to give if you get burned by the nettle. The most popular options with pure water and plantain were incorrect. But the correct answer is to brush with baking soda and water gave only one child.
At the end of the "lab 2020" in the UMMC the first place (18 correct answers out of 26) took Katarina Guseva from the city Center of additional education.
