every year, young people send applications to the Commission, which selects the most relevant and viable environmental projects. Thereafter, Mechel awards grants to winners in the embodiment of the idea that in 2018, there were 27, in 2019 – 28.
Among the finalists is the author of the ecological project "alley of love" student of the Chelyabinsk Academy of national economy Sergey Miller. The project envisages the establishment of family green lanes, which are created by young families with children.
"the project is based on the traditions of their ancestors, I wanted to go back to basics, because the tree is a symbol of a new family that will protect her from harm. It also has always symbolized the connection between generations. The tradition to plant a tree of a young family told me my grandma," explains Mr. Miller.
for More than a year the couple has already created several "avenues of love". They are decorated with more than fifty trees: blue spruce and common, globular willow, birch, maple, poplar, larch, hawthorn. Trees planted in the Victory Garden, in the Park near the Academy and in the village of Roshchino. The author himself lives in this village and personally takes care of the alley. The project has received new impetus, and now it involves not only the couple, families with children, but everyone.
In 2020, "Mechel" will continue to support grant youth competition "EKO-Projector". Accepting applications traditionally will begin in the summer.
"We support this contest the first year, we select promising environmental programs that will benefit future generations of residents of Chelyabinsk.
