In addition, PAM implemented a system of calculation and monitoring of the integrated indicator of efficiency of activity of the workshops of the Department of the main energy (UGE). According to the results of 2019 in the shops UGE obtained an additional effect of 12% in relation to the planned indicators of energy efficiency. It was achieved including through increased use of secondary energy resources and saving the purchase (natural gas and electricity). Compared to 2018 in 2019 the increased proportion of utilization of secondary gases at power plants in relation to his output: coke oven gas to 32.8%, blast furnace gas – to 56.0% and, as a consequence, reduced the share of natural gas consumption by power plants in total fuel balance of JSC "MMK" to 39.6%.
