A base for routine maintenance of modernized diesel locomotives has been created at SHAAZ

At the end of 2019, a base for routine maintenance of modernized diesel locomotives was created at the Shadrinsky Automotive Aggregate Plant. The need for its appearance is due to the operating time of diesel locomotives of a certain number of operating hours, upon reaching which, work is envisaged that go beyond the scope of maintenance at the enterprises.

- Since the launch of the locomotive project, the Shadrinsky Automobile Unit Plant has modernized and manufactured about eighty shunting locomotives of the TEM2- series. UMMC, TGM4B-UGMK and TGM6-UGMK. The practical experience accumulated at the enterprise and the necessary qualifications of specialists are confirmed by a certificate of conformity for the right to carry out all types of maintenance and repair of diesel locomotives with the prefix "UMMC ". It is logical that it was decided to organize the repair base exactly here, since the scheme for repairing diesel locomotives at ShAAZ is the least expensive and the most technically prepared, - said Yuri Petrenko, Deputy Director for Quality for Railway and Special Equipment of ShAAZ JSC.

To implement the project, a separate section for the repair of diesel locomotives was organized in the diesel locomotive modernization workshop of SHAAZ JSC. The volume of work carried out here depends on the operating hours of the diesel locomotive: with 18 thousand operating hours, current repairs are performed, with 36 thousand operating hours - medium repairs. In the future, it is planned to create separate sections for the repair of automatic couplers, auto-brake equipment, electrical machines.

The first diesel locomotive TEM2-UGMK No. 8878 to be repaired arrived at SHAAZ in December 2019 from PJSC "Gaysky GOK " ... The locomotive has undergone repairs in the amount of current repairs. A number of works were carried out on it aimed at restoring the operational properties of the locomotive and preventing emergency malfunctions.

In total, by the end of 2020, ShAAZ JSC plans to carry out scheduled repairs of sixteen diesel locomotives.
