In Yekaterinburg started the II international metallurgical summit "Metals and alloys". The event was a meeting of technical experts from leading domestic and foreign enterprises of metallurgy and machine industry, representatives of government agencies and research institutes.

On session on non-ferrous metallurgy, Deputy chief engineer for technical development and technology JSC "Revdinsky factory OTSM" (OOO "UGMK-OTSM") Sergei Volkov told about tendencies in the production of copper tubes for air conditioning and refrigeration equipment imported into the Russian market is about 11 thousand tons per year. Today revdinskiy Zavod OTSM is the largest enterprise in Russia, possessing modern technological equipment for the production of this type of rental. "In the short-term strategy our task now is to develop new types of these products, increasing the share of enterprises in the segment of air-conditioning pipes on the Russian market", – said Sergey Volkov.
the head of the Department of energy efficiency and energy audit UMMC Anatoly Papchenkov in his section made a report on the changing approaches to energy savings at large industrial enterprises. According to the speaker, the activities aimed at saving fuel and energy resources (FER) have become an integral part of the production process. They are implemented in a regular mode along with the renovation of equipment, machinery and technology. "The new trend of energy saving – efficient use of energy resources directly in the technology, including improving operating efficiency, optimizing its loading, testing and implementation of digital technologies", - said Anatoly Papchenkov.
At the summit for two days dozens of reports, which will form the most complete picture of the trends of metallurgy and engineering, technology, innovation, export potential of Russian industry. According to organizers, the event will be attended by about 250 people.
