Ural Steel (part of Metalloinvest) has successfully passed the audit of the integrated management system (IMS) for compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015, ISO 45001: 2018, ISO 50001: 2011 and inspection control for compliance with the requirements of STO Gazprom 9001-2018.
In the course of the audit, representatives of the certification bodies "Bureau Veritas Certification Rus" and "Pronap" conducted an audit of all divisions of the plant. The successful completion of the audit was preceded by global work in the enterprise. So, from January last to January of this year, the requirements of the international standard for energy management ISO 50001: 2011 and the requirements of the international standard for health and safety management systems ISO 45001: 2018, developed to replace the OHSAS 18001 standard, were introduced into the IMS. And since November 2018, activities have been carried out to improve the IMS in the field of quality in accordance with the requirements of STO Gazprom 9001: 2018.
“For five days, we met with the heads and specialists of Ural Steel divisions, studied and evaluated the internal documentation regulating the activities of personnel and technological processes,” said Marina Khmel, leading specialist of the international certification body Bureau Veritas Certification. - The data obtained during the audit indicate a fairly high level of integration of management systems. The Commission will recommend that certification bodies issue certificates of conformity to Ural Steel. "
Based on the results of the inspection, the IMS of Ural Steel was recognized as meeting the requirements of international standards. The company will be issued certificates of compliance with the requirements of ISO 50001: 2011, ISO 45001: 2018, STO Gazprom 9001-2018, valid for three years, as well as prolonged validity of certificates according to ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015.
An audit of management systems is mandatory for all Metalloinvest enterprises. The presence of the relevant certificates testifies to the Company's striving for improvement in production and environmental protection, organization of a systematic approach to labor safety issues.
