RUB 500 million to support local communities in containing the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19.
Funding will be distributed based on the scale of the company's presence in Lipetsk, Belgorod, Kaluga, Sverdlovsk oblasts and Altai Krai. In coordination with the administrations of regions and cities on the allocated means it is planned to purchase the most popular medical equipment and personal protective equipment (masks, respirators, disinfectants, etc.)
In the framework of this initiative, the Group has already carried out the purchase of medical equipment at the request of the Lipetsk region, including 30 ventilators, 10 thousand anti-suits, oxygen concentrators, bronchoscopes, and other equipment.
In a number of regions of presence the company has converted its dispensaries under isolators of temporary accommodation.
in Addition to helping regions, NLMK is implementing a complex of measures on social support of employees and to prevent the spread of infection in the industry, including:

home mode with full retention of earnings to all employees of the Russian companies of the Group older than 60 years (approximately 2,000 persons).br>

sick pay because of respiratory diseases and quarantine at the level of full income (an additional 25% of the normal level);
·
the transfer of employees to remote work in units where the concentration of people at workplaces makes it difficult to provide a safe distance
(approximately 2,500 persons).br>

the use of all employees additional means of individual protection, regular temperature control, enhanced sanitation and disinfection of premises, and transport.
the Total cost of these and other measures to deter coronavirus infection at the sites of the Group in Russia during March and early April exceeded 600 million.
Thus, to date, the total expenditure on support staff, measures to minimize the risk of infection, as well as funding assistance to the Russian regions allocated by the company and its social partners, exceeded 1 billion rubles.
