The Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) hosted traditional events within the framework of the Steel Safety Day. The campaign is held annually and is timed to coincide with the World Day for Safety and Health at Work on April 28.
On the eve of the Safety Day, all TMK divisions underwent inspections to ensure that workplaces comply with labor protection and industrial safety requirements. As a result, reports were prepared and meetings were held, at which issues of further minimization of risks in production and improvement of existing measures to provide employees with a comfortable and safe working environment were discussed.
During two weeks before and during the Safety Day at enterprises TMK hosted events with the participation of the company's management, including TMK General Director Alexander Shiryaev. The managers held working meetings with the employees of the enterprises and discussed the progress and further plans of introducing the latest practices in the field of occupational safety and health.

This is a huge positive experience that allows us to root in our company compliance with safety requirements, jointly reduce injuries, improve working conditions, involving the maximum number of employees at all TMK production sites in this process. Employee safety will always be among the key objectives of our company. I am sure that zero injuries is an achievable goal, "said Dmitry Pumpyansky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TMK, on the occasion of the Safety Day in Metallurgy.

The company has a unified corporate policy in the field of labor protection and industrial safety, an effective system for monitoring its implementation has been created. TMK enterprises have valid certificates of compliance with the requirements of the OHSAS 18001 standard.
In 2018, no fatal accidents and group accidents were recorded in all TMK divisions. At the end of last year, compared to 2017, the reduction in the injury rate for the company as a whole was 11%, and for the Russian division - 33%.
