The Sibkabel plant (part of the Cable Alliance Holding, which unites the cable assets of UMMC) in March 2019 set a historic record for the volume of copper wire processing - 1,516 tons. This is primarily due to the inclusion in the production program of metal-intensive orders, that is, cable products of large cross-section.
- Analyzing the data on copper processing and the number of manufactured products over the past 5 years, it can be noted that we have shown such a high result. On average, factory shops process about 1100-1200 tons of copper monthly. In March last year, this figure was 1423 tons. The production capacity and the versatility of the equipment available at the enterprise allow us to achieve the tasks set, to fulfill and overfulfill the annual production program, - said Sergey Lipovka, Deputy Director for Production of Sibkabel JSC.
The main place in the structure of cable products manufactured in March occupy oil-submersible cables, which make up almost a third of the total output. A record was also recorded here - more than 1326 km. Sibkabel produces both serial and advanced designs designed for difficult operating conditions. One of the most demanded developments is the KPpFBP-130 cable. It has insulation made of heat-resistant block copolymer and wrapped with fluoroplastic tape, which completely protects the product from the penetration of formation fluid and reduces the impact on it of high temperatures and corrosive environment.
The volume of production of mine cables last month reached 110 km, which in 2 times more than in March last year. One of the latest developments of Tomsk specialists is the HoldMie cable for a voltage of 1.2 - 6 kV, which meets the increased requirements of Rostekhnadzor for the reliability of components for mine equipment. In addition, Sibkabel produces improved designs of excavator cables in both traditional black and colored sheaths. The service life of these products is 5 years instead of three, the current loads that they can withstand are 20% higher compared to traditional structures.
- Modernization of production facilities, active development of new insulating materials, including produced on our site, allows us to constantly expand the range of products and improve their reliability.
