PJSC "Uralmashzavod" (UZTM) began production of standard samples of the largest machine in the excavator line - EKG-35. In April, the company signed a contract for the supply of two excavators of this model with JSC "UK" Kuzbassrazrezugol (an enterprise of the UMMC raw materials complex), negotiations are underway to manufacture another machine for another Russian coal mining company.
The first sample of EKG-35 - the largest open-pit crawler excavator in the Russian market of open-pit equipment - Uralmashzavod manufactured at the end of 2017, in the spring of 2018 it was put into pilot operation at the Krasnobrodsky coal mine (part of the Kuzbassrazrezugol Management Company). At the end of December, the parties signed an act on the launch of the machine into commercial operation.
Kuzbassrazrezugol specialists, who were directly involved in all stages of EKG-35 production - from design to commissioning - note the successful operation of the excavator during the tests ... According to Igor Kirilov, head of the energy-mechanical department of JSC MC Kuzbassrazrezugol, the prototype EKG-35 showed high performance already in the process of pilot operation.
“The trend towards increasing the unit capacity of equipment is typical for many mining enterprises ... And we were able to promptly respond to the market demand by organizing a typical production of the largest Russian excavator in a short time. We see an upward trend in demand for machines of this class in the coming years, "says Konstantin Smirnykh, sales director for excavator equipment at UZTM-KARTEX Management Company.
Two new excavators, scheduled for delivery in 2019, will operate at the Krasnobrodsky and Kedrovsky open-pit mines. EKG-35 with serial numbers 2, 3 are manufactured taking into account the test results of the first sample, including improvements in the design, production technologies of the drive system of the undercarriage and fastening of tracked frames.
