Spraying sticky scale is still poorly understood, so the theoretical calculation leads either to the low percentage descaling or high operating costs for maintenance and high capital investment, therefore, PJSC "MMK" took the offer Wepuko Pahnke on conducting experimental tests on the plant. In the tests used different types of injectors, changed the angle of attack, the water pressure and the speed of movement of the workpiece. In the result, a high percentage of descaling, and defined the exact parameters of the descaling unit for removal of "sticky" scale.
On the basis of the results of PJSC "MMK" in April 2020 has concluded a contract with Wepuko Pahnke GmbH for the supply of two units descaling. The approach used to solve non-standard tasks will allow PJSC "MMK" for more than 30% reduction in acquisition costs for new installations, descaling and significantly improve the quality of rolled steel products.
