Novolipetsk steel, the flagship company of NLMK Group, in the framework of the program of customer service completed the construction of a new logistics complex at the site of the plant and shipped to customers the first batch of products by road. The complex will allow to load vehicles more than 1 million tons of rolled NLMK in the year and will be one of the largest logistics facilities in Russia.
the Total area is 30 thousand m2, at the same time it can be up to 70 thousand tons of steel products. The complex allows to ship to consumers the entire range of rolled NLMK. The warehouse equipment provides for the formation of parties of various sizes. Closed type warehouse will enable year round deliveries and to ensure high quality products. The use of road transport will provide the flexibility, speed and convenience of delivery of products to customers.
the new complex automated warehouse management system. It will count, and plan equipment and personnel, to monitor each storage unit, and control the loading and unloading operations. Automation will help to minimize the time for shipment of metal and processing of accompanying documents.
Investment in the project amounted to about 3 billion roubles.

This will not only reduce costs but also to increase mobility. For example, the standard of large orders, the customer will be able to place with delivery by rail, and positions that are urgently needed in production to road transport," commented Vice-President for sales Ilya Gushchin.
