The team of the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) will take part in the qualifying round of the Autumn Cup of the League of Young Professionals as part of the VIII International Engineering Championship CASE-IN.
The TMK team includes employees of the main Russian enterprises of the company - Volzhsky (VTZ), Seversky (STZ) and Sinarsky (Sinarsky) pipe plants and Taganrog metallurgical plant (TAGMET). TMK specialists will present a solution to the case “Creating an ecosystem of technological entrepreneurship: entering new markets and developing technological innovations.”
The teams' decisions are assessed by an expert committee consisting of representatives of participating companies and at least 2 independent experts - representatives of state , public or scientific organizations, as well as employees of leading industry companies. According to the results of the qualifying stage, the 3 teams with the highest scores according to the results of the peer review will advance to the cup final.
“The participation of the TMK team in the CASE-IN engineering championship is held under the patronage of the corporate university TMK2U. Representatives of our company are employees from TMK's management reserve; this event is included in their individual development plan. It is important for us that at such competitive events as the CASE-IN championship, our young specialists can not only test their knowledge and skills, but also practice in solving urgent production problems facing the industry, ”said TMK's Deputy General Director for HR management - Director of the TMK2U Corporate University Elena Pozolotina.
The Autumn Cup of the League of Young Professionals is held from September to October 2020 and consists of remote qualifying stages in 4 federal districts of the Russian Federation - North-West , Siberian, Ural and Central. The final of the cup will be held in Moscow.
The international CASE-IN championship is the largest competition system in Russia and the CIS in solving engineering cases for schoolchildren, students and young specialists of the fuel and energy and mineral resources complexes. The championship consists of 5 leagues, including the "League of Young Professionals". The project is part of the Russia - Country of Opportunities platform and is included in the TOP-15 world Olympiads according to the RAEX rating agency. More than 400 students from Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus will take part in the CASE-IN 2020 championship.
