In 2020, PJSC "Gaysky Mining and Processing Plant " (an enterprise of the UMMC raw materials complex) will allocate about 78 million rubles for the construction of a new heating station for the "Operational" mine ... The air-heater station, being one of the main components of the mine ventilation system, provides heating of the supply air coming from outside to the optimum temperature.
“The demand for heating the air entering the mine is increasing as the plant continues to reconstruct the Underground mine. At present, the main fan unit of the Severnaya Ventilatsionnaya 2 mine is operating at full capacity. It was put into operation last summer and is intended to ventilate underground mine workings located below the 990-meter floor. Therefore, it was decided to build a new heating station ”, - explained the deputy. Yuri Dolmatov, director of Gaysky GOK for capital construction, repair and maintenance of fixed assets.
The new heater is very compact in size, its dimensions are 21x9 meters. It will be connected to the mine shaft by an air supply channel. According to experts, the new heating station will operate on the basis of a two-circuit heating system. The hot water circulating in the primary circuit through the heat exchanger will heat the secondary circuit filled with a practically non-freezing mixture with ethylene glycol. Then the heated supply air through the ventilation duct will enter the shaft of the "Operational" mine and be distributed along the horizons of the Underground mine. The use of a practically non-freezing mixture as a coolant will allow in winter to increase the stable and trouble-free operation of engineering mine systems and provide favorable conditions for people to work in underground conditions.
At present, the installation of metal structures of the building frame has been practically completed on the mounted foundations and work is underway on the concreting of the monolithic part of the ventilation duct and the brickwork of the internal partitions. Delivery of wall panels for building cladding and main technological equipment is expected. It should be noted that at this stage, all construction and installation work is performed by Gaysky GOK on its own with the involvement of auxiliary shops - Repair and construction site, Repair and mechanical plant, Energo shop. Concrete work is performed by DCS, specialists of RMZ have manufactured and installed metal structures of the building, as well as parts of a metal duct - a complex overall structure with a cross section of 4.5x3.5 meters, weighing 23 tons.
