Lithuanian delegation visited BMZ

On May 29 OJSC “BMZ - the managing company of the holding“ BMK ”was visited by representatives of Lithuanian business circles. The delegation was headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Belarus Andrius Pulokas.

The delegation also included the Commercial Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the Republic of Belarus Julius Glebovas, General Director of Baltic Shippig Arunas Jankauskas and its manager Grigory Sabatin, General Director of Klasco Vytautas Stumbgas and its commercial director Igor Shulzhitskiy, director of ZAO BMZ-Baltia Trading House Arturas Gavedas and head of the company's sales department Eugenijus Antanaitis.

& bsp; & bsp; During the visit, the guests visited the museum of the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant, as well as familiarized themselves with production in the steelmaking and section rolling shops of the enterprise. After that, negotiations were held with specialists from BMZ services on logistics services and increasing mutual trade. It is worth noting that Klasco (Klaipeda Sea Freight Company is the largest and most versatile cargo company in the Klaipeda port) provided BMZ with a whole berth in the southern side of the port to optimize logistics and storage times for factory products. The management of Baltic Shippig, which has been successfully shipping BMZ metal products for many years, accompanying them to buyers and resolving any issues arising in the process of transportation, expressed their intentions to further strengthen cooperation.

& bsp; & bsp; Lithuania is a long-time consumer of Belarusian metal products. In 2018 alone, BMZ exported to this country over 150 thousand tons of various types of rolled products, pipes, wire and fiber worth more than $ 80 million. The share of Lithuania in BMZ export for the past year was 6.6 percent. In turn, the plant imports raw materials and various components for equipment from this country.
