Sibkabel JSC (part of the Cable Alliance Holding, which unites the cable assets of UMMC) has installed a new line for baking fluoroplastic insulated wires. Due to this, the enterprise will increase the output of wires for the installation of electrical equipment by 30%, as well as increase product quality control.
Modern equipment has been installed in workshop No. 40. Baking fluoroplastic insulation at temperatures up to + 500 ̊С is the final stage in the production of heat-resistant assembly wires.
“Fluoroplastics have thermal stability up to 220 ° С and are able to withstand the effects of corrosive environments. The insulating layer made of this material has increased strength and durability, "explained Andrey Tikhanovich, a process engineer at Sibkabel.
The new line surpasses the previously installed equipment in a number of parameters. Using the touch control panel, the heating parameters and the insulation application rate are automatically set. It is also possible to program the switching on of the equipment by timer. Since the heating time of the furnaces to the required mode is up to one and a half hours, the early activation will prepare the equipment for the beginning of the work shift. Its power consumption is half that of its predecessor.
Another significant advantage is the presence of compensators on the sender and receiver, preventing the release of defective products. In the event of a wire breakage, the line will automatically stop, and the sound and light indication will inform the operator about the error.
“PTFE-insulated wires are in high demand due to their improved characteristics. The new line will allow us to quickly fulfill all orders, supplying customers with high quality, reliable products. The objectives of increasing productivity, energy efficiency and product quality control are systematically implemented in all production departments. The enterprise has large-scale modernization plans for the coming years, ”said Alexey Zhuzhin, director of Sibkabel JSC.
