SF Balakovo will be engaged in the reconstruction of the airport in the Saratov region

Balakovo Metallurgical Plant is one of the assets of the Novostal-M holding. The plant is based within the boundaries of the Balakovo municipal district (Saratov region) and specializes in the production of long products. The plant's capacities ensure the production of over a million tons of long products per year. The enterprise operates in accordance with the requirements of Russian and international standards, it is marked by numerous quality certificates. The plant is an active participant in national projects. Topical directions: "Ecology", "Labor productivity and employment support", "International cooperation and export". Balakovo Metallurgical Plant regularly supports socially significant projects. The company is interested in the development of the Saratov region, as one of the most modern and dynamically progressing regions, and contributes to the modernization of the regional infrastructure. Today a new goal has been set for the plant - reconstruction of the old Balakovo airport. The project will be implemented through public-private partnership mechanisms. The enterprise will act as the main investor, additional financial support will be provided from the federal and regional budgets. The work is planned to be completed by 2024. Reconstruction of the airport and its re-introduction into operation will increase the number of strategically important transport hubs in the Saratov region, commercial and tourist attractiveness of the region.
