Metalloinvest and UZTM-KARTEX MC have entered into a cooperation agreement within the framework of the second stage of construction of a crushing and conveyor complex (DCC) at Mikhailovsky GOK named after A.V. Varichev.
The agreement was signed by the General Director of the Management Company "Metalloinvest" Nazim Efendiyev and the General Director of the Management Company "UZTM-KARTEX" Yan Center within the framework of the solemn ceremony of launching the first stage of DCC - a steeply inclined conveyor on the southeast side career.
UZTM-KARTEX, which unites the largest manufacturers of mining equipment - Uralmashzavod and IZ-KARTEX, is considered by Metalloinvest as a supplier of equipment and technological solutions for the construction of a flat conveyor with a capacity of 35 million tons of ore per year on the northeastern side of the Mikhailovsky open pit GOK. Within the framework of the project, the enterprises of the machine-building company will manufacture a crushing and transfer unit, a stacker and conveyors of various types.
It is planned to complete the implementation of the second stage in 2023. The total investment by Metalloinvest in the framework of the two stages of the project will amount to about 11 billion rubles including VAT.
“UZTM-KARTEX is a reliable and time-tested partner of our Company, noted Nazim Efendiev. - The enterprises of the Group supplied equipment for the Roasting machine No. 3 of the Mikhailovsky GOK, and today they provide the plant with equipment for the extraction and processing of ore. Partnership with the leading Russian manufacturer of equipment for the mining industry contributes to the achievement of our strategic goal - to bring Mikhailovsky GOK to the top league of world producers of iron ore products.
“The production of the first crushing and conveyor complex of domestic production is a strategically important project, in the implementation of which a consortium of the largest Russian suppliers of engineering products and components, led by Uralmashzavod, will be involved. The creation of the Russian DCC will allow our mining enterprises to significantly increase their efficiency, optimize the costs of mining and transporting ore, and, in general, will help reduce the share of imported equipment in the domestic market. We are grateful to Alisher Burkhanovich Usmanov and the general director of the holding Nazim Tofikovich Efendiev for believing in the capabilities of the domestic machine-building industry, entrusting us with equipping their key facilities. The policy of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation also plays an important role in supporting the machine-building industry: under the leadership of the head of the ministry Denis Valentinovich Manturov and his deputy Mikhail Igorevich Ivanov, the department implements programs that allow us to update fixed assets, increase production volumes, and enter new markets, "the general Director of UK UZTM-KARTEX LLC Yan Center.
