Metalloinvest held a meeting of the participants of the corporate volunteering program "Respond!", which was held online for the first time. The event was attended by 140 activists from the enterprises belonging to Metalloinvest: Lebedinsky mining and processing plant, Mikhailovsky GOK named after A.V. Varichev, Oskol Electrometallurgical Plant named after A.A. Ugarov and Ural Steel.
“We would like to thank the volunteers for their dedication, care and creative work that will transform our cities. The idea of the volunteer movement - to make the world a better place - is consonant with the philosophy of Metalloinvest's business, - said the General Director of the Company Nazim Efendiev. - We see ourselves as a team of like-minded people who, through partnerships with customers, suppliers, regional authorities and local communities, are changing the world for the better. Metalloinvest's products lay the foundations for green metallurgy and help the industry develop towards sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint. "
Within the framework of the event, the invited expert Yuri Kalashnikov conducted a business game “Human Capital”, teaching the skills of partnership. The presentation of the Canadian specialist Chris Jarvis, co-founder of the global agency Realizedworth, which develops and implements volunteering and charity programs, was devoted to the basic rules of building effective teamwork and motivation.
The participants of the meeting summed up the results of their activities in the outgoing year, exchanged the experience gained during the work. New meeting of activists of the program "Come back!" scheduled for spring 2021. It will outline new tasks and develop plans for future projects.
The "Come Back!" Movement was launched in 2018 and now has more than 1600 volunteers, who have more than 150 promotions and events on their account.
This year, the strategic and educational areas of the program have been moved online. At the same time, a number of projects, the implementation of which was possible in compliance with all health protection measures, remained in the same format.
As part of the All-Russian Mutual Aid Campaign #WeTogether, Metalloinvest volunteers processed over 2,000 personal requests from elderly citizens and collected donations in the amount of 1 million rubles, which the Company doubled.
The Eco-marathon organized by the volunteer movement for two summer months of 2020 brought together more than 800 activists who held 37 environmental campaigns.
In November of this year, Metalloinvest was awarded in two nominations at once in the sixth All-Russian competition of projects in the field of corporate volunteering "Champions of Good Deeds" - 2020.
